COL-Clear Version B - 100 capsules

Why choose COL-Clear Version B?

COL-Clear Version B, is virtually identical to COL-Clear Version A formulation, except that it does not contain the herb Goldenseal (which has been substituted with more of the herb fennel).

This well-known colon helper is used extensively by many detox retreats, natural health therapists and colonic hydrotherapists, in combination with colon hydrotherapy sessions, to help keep the colon healthy, support regular movements and to support a healthy digestive tract.

As a result of a number of factors (including poor diet, stress, lack of exercise and food intolerances / allergies) many people today suffer from digestive disorders and other conditions that affect the health and function of the large intestine.

This can lead to a wide variety of unpleasant symptoms, such as bloating, stomach cramps and excessive flatulence. The health of your colon (and gastrointestinal tract generally) is important not only in terms of digestion, but also for your overall health, well-being and immunity.

COL-Clear B contains active herbal ingredients that support a happy gut and a healthy colon and can be combined with our other digestive system support products, such as probiotics and digestive enzymes. It can also be alternated with COL-Clear Version A.

More about the ingredients

Cascara sagrada

This herb is known by a number of alternative names, such as cascara buckthorn, cascara, bearberry and chittem. It is a species of buckthorn and is native to the western side of North America. The dried bark of cascara has traditionally been used as a “helper” for the colon, i.e. to help keep the colon and digestive system clean, regular and healthy. The active ingredients in this herb are thought to be the hydroxyanthracene glycosides (particularly cascarosides A,B,C, and D) and emodin.

Barberry

Barberry, also known as berberis vulgaris, mountain grape, pepperidge, berberry and the common grape, is a species of deciduous and evergreen shrub native to the temperate and sub-tropical regions of Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America. This herb has traditionally been used as a natural helper for digestive complaints. The active ingredients in barberry are thought to be the isoquinolone alkaloids, particularly berberine.

Cayenne

This “hot” herb is also known as Capsium frutescens, the Guinea spice, cow-horn pepper, aleva, bird pepper and red pepper. It is a chili pepper that is red in colour and is traditionally used to spice dishes. Rich in vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin E, vitamin C, riboflavin, potassium and manganese, this spice is nutritious. More importantly, it contains the active ingredient capsaicin, which is thought to support healthy blood flow (and therefore natural detox) within the body, as well as a healthy metabolism.

Dandelion root

Dandelion, technically referred to as T. officinale and T. erythrospermum (the two species), is native to Eurasia and North America. It is traditionally thought of as a weed, but to herbalists, naturopaths and other alternative medicine practitioners, it is considered to be a nutritious and valuable herb. A rich source of vitamin A, B complex vitamins, vitamin C and vitamin D, as well as minerals such as iron, potassium, and zinc, it has traditionally been used to support healthy fluid balance in the body and as a natural helper for the stomach and digestive system. It is also thought to provide support for the liver and gallbladder.

Fennel

Fennel, technically referred to as Foeniculum vulgare, is a hardy, perennial and umbelliferous herb, with yellow flowers and feathery leaves. Traditionally used as a culinary herb because of its aroma and anise-type flavour, it has also become a popular component of colon cleansing programmes because it is believed to support the body’s natural elimination of excess waste and toxins from the colon and to support a healthy acid/alkaline balance.

Ginger root

Ginger, technically referred to as zinigiber officianale and called giang jiang in its native Asia, is a tropical plant. It is a staple component of Asian and Middle Eastern cooking, popular for its hot and spicy flavour. For centuries it has been a popular ingredient in natural herbal remedies to support gastrointestinal disorders and has traditionally used as a digestive aid. Gingerol, a compound in ginger, is a powerful antioxidant.

Red raspberry

The raspberry is the red edible fruit of a number of plant species in the genus Rubus. They are a rich source of polyphenol antioxidants (such as anthocyanin pigments), ellagic acid, B vitamins 1-3, vitamin C, folic acid, magnesium, copper, iron, manganese and, more importantly for digestive health, dietary fibre. In fact, raspberries are among plant foods with the highest fibre content - as much as 20% fibre per total weight.

Turkey rhubarb

Turkey rhubarb, technically referred to as Rheum palmatum, is also commonly known as Turkish rhubarb, Chinese rhubarb, Indian rhubarb, Russian rhubarb and rhubarb root. Within Chinese herbal medicine, it is called da-huang. It is a highly regarded herb that is widely used as part of colon cleansing programmes, particularly by colonic hydrotherapists and clinics, because it contains the following active ingredients: anthraquinones, emodin, tannins, flavonoids (including rutin) and several polyphenols.
